This organization was created in 2008 by a number of prominent Americans to support the work of Fondation Hirondelle worldwide.
Hirondelle USA is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports independent media and journalism for people facing conflicts and crises. Its primary focus is supporting the on-the-ground work of its partner Fondation Hirondelle, the international nonprofit organization based in Switzerland. Donations to Hirondelle USA are tax deductible for U.S. taxpayers.
The board of Hirondelle USA acts independently to ensure good use of resources.
