In Arlit, Agadez region, in northern Niger, women coordinate into federations, unions and working groups to find ways to generate income. They are involved in community activities such as sanitation. Alhassane Kouzi Mahamadou, a journalist with Studio Kalangou,  Fondation Hirondelle’s radio programme in Niger, spoke with Chami Ahmed, president of the women's federation in Arlit.
