Interpeace and Studio Yafa, a multimedia programme created by Fondation Hirondelle about Youth in Burkina Faso, are joining forces to contribute to the dialogue process in the country.
A workshop on community mediation and social cohesion in Burkina Faso was held from 23 to 25 October by Interpeace at Studio Yafa in Ouagadougou. It brought together 33 participants, journalists and civil society actors. The objective was to work on mediation and dialogue techniques that could be used at the community level.
This was a first activity within the framework of the partnership between Interpeace and Fondation Hirondelle/Studio Yafa in Burkina Faso. In a second phase, Studio Yafa will produce seven programmes and magazines on local dialogue activities initiated by Interpeace in seven localities across the country.
In a context of violence, increased distrust among the population and disenchantment among young people in Burkina Faso, Studio Yafa, Fondation Hirondelle and Interpeace want to contribute to the creation of new spaces for dialogue between young people, decision-makers and older generations.
